Welcome to Seasonings Cookbook Club where we learn, share and experience the flavours of the seasons. Each month we will focus on ingredients available that month, so we can share and experience the freshest food that our region has to offer.
Seasonal ingredients for June include: strawberries, rhubarb, asparagus, garlic scapes, peas, lettuce, beans, cherries and beets
Participants can sign out a cookbook to find a recipe with one or more seasonal ingredients. To help know what's available you can check out this website from Foodland Ontario seasonal availability guide.
Make your food submission and bring it in to share with others. This group discussion will be on the flavours and textures of the food, the availability of the ingredients along with any knowledge you have picked up while cooking.
Please bring in your own cutlery and plate for this program. Cups will be provided. Please also bring in your own serving utensils for your dish.
