Using the tutorial Essentials and Starter Kits, Kids learn to play Dungeons and Dragons through a simple tutorial campaign designed for 6 players. Using six different sided dice, paper, and pencil, players take turns describing their actions and determining the outcome while the “Dungeon Master” describes the world and the outcome of these decisions while also playing the part of any monsters and friendly characters players may encounter.
Dungeons and Dragons is a game about collaborative storytelling and teamwork. Both players and the Dungeon Master (the DM for short) work together to create and play in a fantasy world of heroes and villains. The game has some level of fantasy violence but can easily be modified to be suitable for all ages.
